Member fee

The member fee for 2008 for members of the Specialists in the Youth and Sports Sector is 1.25 % of your gross income.

The member fee is paid from your gross income subject to withholding-tax, which includes your gross salary, holiday compensation, holiday pay and fringe benefits (e.g. lunch benefit, company car and phone benefit) as well as from the benefits (including the earnings-related unemployment allowance, training allowance,  job alternation compensation and labour market support) paid by the Unemployment Fund for Higher Educated Employees.

The normal procedure for paying the member fee is to pay it once monthly. If you wish to deviate from this procedure, the issue must be discussed and agreed upon with the member secretaries.

If you would like your employer to collect the member fee automatically from your salary, you can print out the power of attorney from the following link:

The power of attorney for new members will be sent to you by the office upon your acceptance as a member of the organisation.

If you apply for and receive benefits from the Unemployment Fund for Higher Educated Employees, your member fee will be re-calculated by the Fund. You can pay your member fee from the benefits paid by the Fund through the use of a bank giro or by providing the Unemployment Fund with a power of attorney to handle the fee on your behalf.
